Hello – I’m Dina Pino!
Actress • Content Maker • TV Production Pro
An Actress with two decades of professional experience as a performer as well as behind the scenes
in Television Production, continually maneuvering between the two.
As an Actress, I’ve had Commercial success with Lead Roles in more than 30 U.S. and Canadian Commercials – Tide, Ford, Walmart, Rogers, Interac, OLG, The Source, Toyota, Tim Hortons, Maple Leaf and lots more.
The Tide spot – with oh so stinky yoga pants – aired in the U.S. and Canada on heavy rotation, had also been viewed more than 8 Million times online. Check'er!
For over 5 years, I worked as a Lead Actress with The Second City Toronto – National Touring Company, Mainstage Understudy and Lead Roles in Tony & Tina’s Wedding – crazy fun! There, it was boasted of me –
“Dina Pino... a commanding presence... Reminiscent of Gilda Radner” - The Toronto Star
I’ve got a head of natural curls, comedic timing and a love for taking on strong, quirky and endearing characters.
My TV world seems to imitate life – I'm a Mamma of two very active kids, and I often play the “Totally Frazzled Mom” type as in my Guest Roles on Emmy nominated Workin' Moms on CBC, Fir Crazy for Hallmark Channel USA, and recurring appearances on Emmy winning Odd Squad -PBS/TVO – big points with my kids for that one!
I’ve also acquired a depth of experience, through these years, working the other side of TV. With a B.A. in TV Production, I pride myself on knowing every aspect of the biz, having worked for CBC Television for many years with positions ranging from live award shows to production finance management – I can wrap cables or dive into a show budget like a boss!
I am continually pitching prizewinning show ideas to broadcasters and production companies that have gone to development stages, like – The Dessert Club – Winner of WIFT TV Development Grant, and Celine Poutine – Finalist Big Pitch Innoversity Conference.
Currently, I’m having fun creating fast online content – #Momday and #Budz – which are branches of larger TV pitches.
